An Oxford team to once again race at Cowley!
The Finale of the British Dirt Track season will take place at Oxford Stadium on Friday 14th October with an exciting twist. With the QRA British Quad Oval Champions now crowned there is a certain score to settle between the quad racers and they have teamed up in the name of Oxford and Reading to take each other on. The captain of the Oxford side is the feisty Welshman Ben Richmond, whilst the Oxford side is skippered by the veteran John Elliot, who hails from the town of Reading he is representing. We will keep you informed of the team line ups as we progress but a number of the riders will be local to the team they are representing which will ensure this is gearing up to be a massive contest.
On top of this the M & S Truck Rentals British Solo Dirt Track championships comes to a close with Dan Berwick looking to maintain his unbeaten 18 race run to the end of the season and take the inaugural title from Ben Millichap who is 9 points behind. There could be some exciting challengers stepping forward looking to put an end to Berwick's dominance with details coming soon on this.
Mini Bike Mayhem will also be back which means that 12 racers can take part in the final round of the Mini Bike challenge. These small machines and their riders have been providing great entertainment at the events so far and this is certain to be no different.
Further features are soon to be added to this exciting end to the season so keep an eye on www.britishdirttrack.co.uk for up to date information or via linking to us on Facebook.

All out Dirt Track action to hit Oxford!
The British Dirt Track Championships heads to Oxford again on Friday 30th September in the penultimate event of the series. Racing on the former speedway circuit the next action installment is set for another great event.
In the M & S British Dirt Track Championships the battle to watch out for are the 2 main contenders, Dan Berwick from Chatham and young charger Ben Millichap from Worcestershire, with only 6 points separating the two. So far Berwick has been superior at the Oxford circuit being unbeaten from 12 races, but Millichap was the same on the grass circuits and is ever improving.
One rider looking to a contender is Dean Hillier from Poole who made an impressive debut last time at Oxford being one of the only riders to lead Berwick. Hillier suffered a few falls though but if he smooth’s himself out he is certainly going to be one to watch.
Three new contenders for honors all have Speedway experience and will be looking to put this to good use on the Oxford shale circuit. They are James Wells, Mick Ridgeway, and Adam Shepherd. Other racers to be confirmed but some exciting riders could soon be joining the troupe.
In the Quads the battle for the 20th QRA British Oval championships is as tight as ever with only one point separating the top two with the reigning champion Carl Bunce leading by one point from the hard charging Danny Smith. Again many new riders are coming into the fray so this event will be wide open and exciting as always.
The Mini Bike event last time round proved hugely entertaining with a number of former Speedway and Grasstrack riders competing. Going for another maximum will be former Premier League speedway rider and grasstrack ace Mark Richardson who has proved his talent the smaller machines. He was chased down, by 1000cc sidecar passenger Terry Saunters. Former British Minibike champion and current number 2 will also be in the mix.
This time around a Dirt Track MX class has been added with riders to be confirmed.
Turnstiles for the event open at 6pm with practice commencing at 6.30pm and the first race 7pm. Adults are £10, Concessions £7, Children 12-16 £3 and children 11 and under go free in an event that will see over 40 riders competing in over 40 races.
